SHIPPING AND STORAGE:
This product is shipped dried in a stabilizing inert matrix. Store at room temperature upon receipt. Do not open the foil pouch until ready to use.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Store in sealed foil pouch until ready to use. Briefly centrifuge inner tube prior to opening. Reconstitute the inner tube with 25 µL of Molecular Grade Water (RNase-Free) and pulse vortex to mix. Centrifuge the vial briefly to remove residual droplets from the sides and lid. After 10 minutes at room temperature, vortex again and briefly centrifuge. The reconstituted product is stable for up to 8 hours at room temperature.
SAFE HANDLING RECOMMENDATIONS:
The RNA extraction procedure used has been shown to eliminate the infectivity of most viruses and bacteria; therefore, this product is not considered biohazardous. However, this product is not specifically tested and should be handled in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices and any applicable local guidelines.
FAQ:
How do I use this product? Click here for instructions for use.
There is nothing in the tube- what do I do? The small inner tube contains the dried RNA. The reconstituted product is stable for up to 8 hours.
How do I store the RNA? It is best to leave the tube in the desiccated foil pouch until ready to use. The pouch can be kept at room temperature.
Once I add the Molecular Grade Water (RNase-Free) how long is the product stable? Once reconstituted the RNA is stable for 8 hours at room temperature. The product may also be kept on ice while in use.
Is it okay to freeze the reconstituted RNA if not using it immediately? No. Freeze-thaw conditions should be avoided as this could dramatically affect the given copy number. The product may be left on ice or refrigerated at 4°C for up to 8 hours prior to use.
How do I centrifuge the small inner tube? Place the small inner tube into an empty microcentifuge tube that fits your rotor. It is possible the outer tube provided will fit in your centrifuge.
