Test Kits
ABI’s research test kits are available in two formats:
- Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA)
- Immunofluorescence Assay (IFA)
ELISA and IFA kits are intended for qualitative and quantitative detection of IgG antibody in human serum or plasma.
Each lot of ELISA and IFA kits is evaluated against a standard panel of samples to ensure that product specificity and sensitivity claims are being met. Kits contain all necessary reagents to perform the assay.
ELISA for HHV-6 and HHV-8 kits
- Fast, reliable, sensitive and specific (total incubation time is 90 minutes)
- Flexible - can be divided into 12 individual strips, 8 wells per strip
- Amount of tested samples: 2 to 90 samples (not counting controls)
- Supplied with positive and negative controls
- Quantitate antibody in a sample based on intensity of the color reaction
- All reagents are stabilized for 4°C storage up to 18 months
- Plate format and associated reagents allow up to twelve separate assays per kit

Immunoassay Stabilizer
ABI’s Immunoassay Stabilizer is a proprietary mixture of non-toxic components that greatly enhances the long-term stability of many immobilized antigens and antibodies. The solution is supplied ready to use and, in most cases, can replace your current blocking solution. When properly applied, immunoassay plates or membranes may be completely dried while sacrificing little, if any, of the activity of the fully-hydrated protein. The stabilizer is sterile filtered (0.2 μm) and is supplied without preservatives. Use aseptic technique in dispensing the reagent, or add a preservative compatible with your assay.
Advantages of ABI’s Immunoassay Stabilizer
- Increased sensitivity of your assay
- Lower cost per test due to decreased antigen use (antigen can be diluted further)
- Increased shelf life
- Eliminated need for refrigeration of assay plates
