Protein Concentration HSB-2, a human T-lymphoblastoid cell line, is susceptible to infection with human herpes virus 6, variant A (HHV-6A) GS strain.
Cell Line for Propagation: HSB-2
Suspending Buffer: 100 mM Glycine, pH 9.5 with 0.05% Triton X-100
Final Fill Volume: Varies by lot
Protein Concentration: 1.2 mg/mL determined by Pierce BCA protein assay using BSA standard. Alternative methods for determining protein concentration may give different values.
Sterility: Bacteria, yeast, and fungi were not detected by our assay methods.
ELISA Testing: [varies by lot] units/mL — HHV-6A, strain GS Viral Lysate [varies by lot] units/mL — Uninfected HSB-2 Cell Extract. A unit is defined as the reciprocal dilution that gives an absorbance of 0.500 in our test system.
Recommended Use: This preparation of uninfected HSB-2 cell extract may be used as a negative control antigen in Immunoassays using viral antigen prepared from HSB-2 cells.
*Note: Upon thawing, centrifuge the vial for a few seconds to remove residual droplets from the lid.
