Cell Culture Technician
The Cell Culture Technician will participate in small and large scale cell culture projects in Biosafety Level-2 and Level-3 laboratories. He/She will support general laboratory maintenance by assisting with sterilization of lab materials, tracking inventory, supplies and performing routine equipment maintenance. The Technician will be able to follow cGMP during cell production.
Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years practical experience in sterile and cell culture technique; Experience with technical analysis, support and record keeping; Individual must be organized, detail oriented and has the ability to work in a team environment. Strong communication skills.
Molecular Virologist
In this key position, the candidate will contribute to our growing Molecular Virology program through the research and development of new techniques and procedures, primarily with RNA extraction and storage. This position combines applied and experimental research that will lead to new product development and scientific publications. He/She will also assist in the training of staff in molecular biology techniques.
The successful candidate will have a B.S. in Molecular Biology or Virology with a minimum of 5 years related experience. Laboratory skills required include: Real-time PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, molecular cloning, and other molecular techniques. Practical experience in recombinant protein expression in insect/baculovirus systems is preferred. Experience with RNA extractions is ideal. The individual will have strong organizational skills; Develop positive working relationships with colleagues and have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Basic computer knowledge is preferred.
Scientist, Virology/Microbiology
This full-time position's responsibilities include: Cell culture; Perform Microscopic examination of uninfected and infected cell cultures used for cell and virus (C&V) large-scale production. Assist in troubleshooting experiments/testing related to C&V products. Perform In-vitro Infectivity assay (TCID50, plaque assay), viral clearance, antiviral studies, titration purification and Hemagglutination assays.
3+ years practical laboratory experience in cell culture and virology in a commercial setting. Interested candidates must have at least a BS/Ph.D. in Virology, Microbiology and/or Chemistry or related field. The ideal candidate will have the ability to handle multiple and changing projects and prioritize accordingly. Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a team environment is a must.
